It's been a year since we officially became a B Corp and we’re delighted to share our Impact Report with you.
‘At Emma Bridgewater, we started down the B Corp route thinking it would help us focus our recently established ‘Green Team’ and help us set meaningful targets for reducing our impact on the environment. We officially became a B Corp business in January 2022 and amended our articles of association to make sure our Board of Directors focus on all our stakeholders and always balance purpose and profit.
So far the main changes we’ve made due to B Corp have been around our People Plan, improving two-way staff communication and engagement across the business. We’re particularly proud of the high-performing Employee Engagement Team which has supported staff across the business during a difficult year of trading. We’ve also established a group of Diversity & Inclusion Champions, launched our first Health & Wellbeing Strategy, and we trained over 30 people as Mental Health First Aiders last year.’
